This project was for the market repositioning of a 1970’s building in San Rafael that had reached near cult status when it was built as “The Copper Top”, within a stone’s throw from Frank Lloyd Wright’s Marin County Civic Center buildings.
Public areas including the main entry, lobby, a subterranean connector from a parking garage, and landscape areas were enhanced and added. The main lobby reception area is meant to attract a younger, more “tech” oriented tenancy. Additionally, outdoor areas and passageways were developed to encourage casual outdoor use. Yoga and hacky-sack sessions frequently take place in the lower lobby level, and wifi provides internet access for younger workers who prefer to move around during the workday.
